PROPERTIES EVALUATION OF GREEN MORTAR CONTAINING WASTE MATERIALS

The accumulation of massive waste has impacted human health and the city's appearance. As a result, there was need to reduce by using by-products from industrial replace cement, such as limestone, fly ash, silica fume, steel slag, other minerals known supplementary cementitious materials are produced environmentally sustainably. This paper's purpose is design green mortar with highest possible replacement cement that acceptable fresh hardened characteristics. In this paper, three (SCMs), limestone powder (10%), calcined clay (0–35%), slag (0–30%), were used prepare ternary mixtures. in research available locally Mosul, Iraq. experimental studies carried out for twelve mixes. tests flowability, flexural strength, compressive dry density, ultrasonic pulse velocity, water absorption on have been conducted. replaced 30% 60% combination containing clay, different percentages than results found replacing OPC (30%), which contains 10% gives strength flexure enhancement, 24% 18% greater plain after 28 days. When increased mixes, result differed slightly mortar. Water SCMs increased. Dry density showed little effect.
